Building Skills in the Classroom
Skills USA is an after-school club that is an extension of CTE skills that are needed in today's working environment. You’ll learn both hard and soft skills sought after by employers as well as the qualities of leadership and community service and participate in local competitions. Metals, woods, glass, ceramics, photography, and culinary classes are represented.

Leadership
This club is a student-run and elected collection of leaders from many disciplines. Woods, metals, ceramics, foods, digitals arts, and more contribute to the leadership team you see below. We rely on students to run meetings, organize fundraisers, approve budgets, promote the club to recruit new members, and to participate and promote competition in regional and state SkillsUSA events. Want to be a leader? SkillsUSA is the place!

Competition
Students have the opportunity to compete in a variety of ways including Leadership, Skills Demonstrations, Graphic Design, Photography, Animation, Cabinet Making, Welding and more. Students first compete at a regional level and can qualify for state competition. Placing first at state then opens the door to a national competition. Do you want to get better at a skill or trade? Compete with SkillsUSA.

Entrepreneurial
Student are able to build and sell products through our store, Spud Works. From cutting boards, to earrings, stickers to metal ornaments, students develop their skills and use the proceeds of sales to fund their competition. Purchase items through this link. You can also donate to the cause by visiting the Spudworks site and adding an "Additional Donation."

Fundraising
Competition takes funding and we have a goal this year to raise $1,000 for next year's SkillsUSA students. We are looking for donations and sponsorships. Please contact Jared Hundley if you are interested in helping next year's team go to state!
