We are excited to announce a new partnership with Right At School, a nationally recognized school enrichment provider, for before and after school care at Ridgefield School District’s schools. Starting on Monday, September 9, Right At School will offer the program to students in kindergarten through sixth grades. We are very excited about this partnership with Right at School and believe that the program offers a valuable service to the Ridgefield community.
Please note: care provided by Right at Home is replacing our existing before and after care programs for grades K-6 (before and after preschool care will continue to be maintained by the Ridgefield School District). This means that there will not be K-6 before or after school care available until the Right at Home program begins offering services on September 9th.
The Right at School program will provide weekday care from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, including non-school days such as teacher in-service days, winter break, and spring break. Morning care includes late start Wednesday mornings, and afternoon care includes early release days. When you register, you can select from a variety of options, from a set number of days per week, to "drop-in" or punchcard options, and select morning, afternoon, or morning and afternoon sessions. We hope the extended hours/days and increased options will be a benefit to you, your children, and your pocketbook!
Families will be able to work with Right At School to create flexible monthly schedules to support their busy lives. Just create your own monthly schedule by choosing 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week. These program flyers have pricing details and special discount offers for siblings, those who qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch, and military.
Right At School provides families flexibility in enrollment options and a comprehensive enrichment curriculum to keep students engaged while they participate. Students will have a healthy snack, engage in dynamic fitness activities, student-driven projects, team building, leadership development, and have the opportunity to complete homework. The program also features an enriched curriculum in the form of two-week units. Examples of units include:
Getting Down to Business: students are introduced to money and commerce
Icky Experiments: students experiment with sticky substances to learn chemistry; and
Variety Show: students rehearse and perform individual talent acts.
Right At School is hosting a virtual “Family Information Night" to provide an overview of their programs, to answer questions, and to interact with you.
