The word leadership on a corkboard

With the successful passage of our replacement EP&O levy and new capital and technology levy, Ridgefield School District is entering an exciting new chapter. These investments in our schools will support growth, including the construction of a new elementary school in the near future.

As we move forward, the district is implementing a strategic reorganization designed to enhance collaboration, streamline operations, and better align resources with our priorities. These adjustments are designed to strengthen our ability to serve students, staff, and families while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Key elements of this reorganization include:

  • New leadership roles and promotions to recognize talent and ensure the district is positioned for future success.

  • Title changes to more accurately reflect the responsibilities and impact of central services positions.

  • Refined structures that enhance support for schools and staff.

  • An ongoing commitment to fiscal stability, including efforts to avoid a Reduction in Force (RIF) for certificated and classified staff to the extent possible.

Leadership Updates

The following administrative changes will take effect for the 2025-26 school year:

  • Dr. Michael Baskette, the district’s Executive Director of Student Services and the interim Director of Early Learning, has announced his resignation, effective June 30. We sincerely thank Dr. Baskette for his nine years of service to the district and wish him the best in his next endeavor.

  • Chris Griffith has been serving in dual roles as the Assistant Superintendent and the interim Director of Maintenance and Operations. Beginning next year, he will continue in the Director of Maintenance and Operations role. The Assistant Superintendent position will not be filled.

  • Jill Neyenhouse, Principal at South Ridge Elementary School, has been appointed as the Director of Career Pathways and Community Engagement, which is effectively the director of our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

These changes reflect Ridgefield School District’s ongoing commitment to student success, staff support, and operational excellence. While transitions bring change, they also present new opportunities to build a stronger, more responsive district for everyone.

We appreciate the dedication of our staff and leadership team as we continue working together to support our students and community.
