The Ridgefield School District has long utilized the use of i-Ready, an interactive online learning program used by teachers, which is designed to provide individualized instruction for math and reading based on each student’s unique needs.
The i-Ready program helps teachers identify specific areas in which a student needs extra help as well as areas in which he/she excels. This is done by assessing each student using a computer-adaptive diagnostic test specifically designed to measure the level of difficulty for each student.
The test questions “adapt” based on a student’s ability to answer them. Teachers use the diagnostic test results to design individualized instruction to meet the needs of each student.
The i-Ready diagnostic test is given a few times throughout the school year to help teachers measure students’ progress and growth over time.
Ridgefield School District is pleased to announce the recent launch of the i-Ready Family Center website, which parents can access to check on the progress of their student(s) as measured by i-Ready. The website provides specific information about i-Ready and explains how parents can support and encourage their child’s academic success during the school year.
Parents are encouraged to check out the new website at www.i-ready.com/familycenter. Many of the resources provided in the Family Center are available in both English and Spanish.
The first i-Ready diagnostic tests are scheduled to be administered to all K-12 students by mid-September.
